Art that provokes thought

Sophia is a visual artist and educator whose work explores the psychological and emotional undercurrents of human experience. Through gesture, composition, and atmosphere, she creates paintings that move beyond representation, inviting viewers into a space of reflection, feeling, and interpretation.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of South Florida, where she developed the formal foundation that continues to inform her practice. Her work is further shaped by world travel and a sensitivity to the emotional character of place, culture, and human connection. These influences have deepened her interest in the shared language of emotion and the subtle ways feeling can be communicated beyond words.
Sophia currently works as an art teacher within Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she brings both technical skill and creative insight to her students. In addition to her studio practice, she offers private and group art instruction, corporate art events, and curated creative experiences designed to make artistic expression engaging, accessible, and meaningful.
Her professional practice also includes private commissions, murals, and select collaborative projects. Whether creating work for exhibition, private collectors, public-facing spaces, or guided art experiences, Sophia approaches each project with an emphasis on emotional resonance, visual refinement, and human connection.
Her work is rooted in the belief that art can reveal what often remains beyond language, offering not only an image, but a psychological atmosphere.
